Enter the Plumber Awards 2027

Think you’ve completed a great plumbing job? Proud of the standard you deliver for your customers? The Plumber Awards is a UK trade scheme that recognises the work plumbers do every day. Entry is completely free, and the national winner is announced live at InstallerSHOW, the UK’s biggest trade event for the installer industry.

We appreciate that professionals work across both plumbing and heating disciplines. Projects involving both plumbing and heating elements should be entered into the awards that best reflects the main purpose and outcome of the work undertaken.

If your project was primarily about water delivery, distribution, sanitation or plumbing systems, you should enter The Plumber Awards. If your project was primarily about heating, comfort, energy efficiency or heat generation, you should enter the Heating Installer Awards.

In The Plumber Awards, there are two categories to choose from:

Plumber of the Year

To win your region, tell us about a project you’ve worked on where the plumbing installation, refurbishment or maintenance of a property’s water systems was the main job. Think about bathrooms, whole-house plumbing, hot and cold water systems, pipework design, water efficiency, drainage and guttering, apartments, commercial washrooms or light commercial work. Walk us through the brief, the problems you solved, the products you chose and why, and how you delivered it. Your thought process and decision-making is what will help you stand out.

What’s important:

• Tell us what budget you had to work with. It’s not about the biggest project – we’re after the right solution for the customer in front of you, on the money they had
• Show your workings: pipe sizing, flow rates, and how you made sure the job complied with Water Regulations, Building Regulations and British Standards. This is what tells judges you know your trade inside out
• Tell us the products you chose and why. Think about performance, fit, value and so on. Whatever the reason, we want your thinking, not just a parts list
• Got a happy customer? Include their feedback or a link to your review, it backs up everything you’ve told us

Apprentice of the Year

Are you studying towards 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician qualification, or equivalent? This is a standalone category for apprentices only, run in conjunction with The Heating Installer Awards. We want to hear what you’re learning, how you’re applying it to the work you do on site, and more.

What’s important:

• Tell us why you should win this award, what you’ve done that’s been outstanding this year, and why this is your year
• Whether you’re learning full-time with evidence of on-site work experience, or training on the job, we want to hear from you
• Make sure you really shout about what you’ve done to help you stand out and reach the final
