A growing partnership
Following the successful launch of The Plumber Awards in 2026, specialist trade PR agency Refresh, is continuing as media partner as the awards return for their second year.
Refresh is the team behind the wider Installer Awards programme and has been running the Heating Installer Awards for more than 12 years. The decision to launch The Plumber Awards in 2026 brought plumbers into the growing Installer Awards community, providing them with their own platform to showcase their skills, professionalism and achievements. The inaugural year saw plumbers from across the UK put themselves forward, with the programme culminating in the first-ever Plumber of the Year being crowned live at InstallerSHOW.
Refresh’s role behind the awards
Refresh has more than 15 years’ experience delivering PR and communications for the trade, working with leading brands and building strong relationships with trade media and thousands of tradespeople. The team will once again provide the PR, marketing and communications expertise behind the awards, helping to generate entries, promote the achievements of finalists and winners and ensure the stories behind the awards reach the wider plumbing and heating industry.
Laura Mashiter, managing director of Refresh and founder of the Installer Awards, said: “Launching The Plumber Awards last year was a really exciting moment for us. After more than a decade of running the Heating Installer Awards, we’d seen first-hand just how much recognition and opportunity the programme could create for heating installers, and we wanted plumbers to have that same platform.
“The response to the first year was fantastic. We saw some brilliant entries and, most importantly, a real appetite from the plumbing community to be recognised for the work they do. Entries now open for 2027
Entries for The Plumber Awards 2027 are now open, with plumbers competing at regional level before progressing towards the national title of Plumber of the Year. Entries are free (enter here) and close on 14th January 2027.
