Regional Awards
This category recognises outstanding plumbing professionals who have delivered excellence in the installation, improvement or maintenance of plumbing systems. We’re looking for plumbers who demonstrate technical expertise, quality workmanship, problem-solving ability and a commitment to customer service, with one winner crowned from each region across the UK.

National Plumber of the Year
Regional winners go through to the national final, where they will take part in a technical challenge and public vote before one plumber is crowned National Plumber of the Year.
The national title recognises the very best in the profession and offers winners valuable exposure across the industry, opportunities to connect with leading manufacturers and suppliers, and the chance to become an ambassador for excellence within the plumbing sector.
Apprentice of the Year
Run in conjunction with the Heating Installer Awards, this category is open to apprentices studying towards a Level 2 or 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician qualification or equivalent.
We’re looking for apprentices who demonstrate technical competence, quality workmanship, commitment to learning and a passion for the industry. Whether you’re excelling in the classroom, on-site or both, this award celebrates the next generation of plumbing talent.

When do The Plumber Awards entries open?
Entries for The Plumber Awards open on 1st September 2026 but you can pre-register now.
When do entries close for The Plumber Awards?
Entries for The Plumber Awards will close on 22nd December 2026. Our panel of judges will then review and score each entry to reveal the regional winners and a shortlist for Apprentice of the Year.
When does judging take place for The Plumber Awards?
Judging day takes place in February or March 2027. Entries are reviewed and scored by an expert panel of judges made up of our partners, independent parties and previous winners. One winner per region is put forward to the national final, along with a shortlist for Apprentice of the Year.
When are the Regional Winners of The Plumber Awards announced?
The winners of the regional award are announced shortly after the judging day.
When does voting for The Plumber Awards open?
Voting for The Plumber Awards will open in March.
When does voting for The Plumber Awards close?
Voting for The Plumber Awards will close in May.
When does The Plumber Awards announce the winners?
Winners of The Plumber Awards 2026/2027 will be announced in June 2027 at the InstallerSHOW in Birmingham. Here, the winners will receive their awards in person.
Should I enter The Plumber Awards or The Heating Installer Awards?
We appreciate that professionals work across both plumbing and heating disciplines. Projects involving both plumbing and heating elements should be entered into the awards that best reflects the main purpose and outcome of the work undertaken.
If your project was primarily about water delivery, distribution, sanitation or plumbing systems, you should enter The Plumber Awards. If your project was primarily about heating, comfort, energy efficiency or heat generation, you should enter the Heating Installer Awards.
The Apprentice of the Year category is run in partnership with The Plumber Awards. Entrants can enter via either awards website. Only one shortlist, covering entries received via both websites will be announced, and one overall winner.
